Ayside Poultry Arks are hand made on the premises to our own tried and tested designs. They are built to order.
Wood is a living moving product which responds to atmospheric conditions – such as drying out in hot weather and swelling in wet conditions.
We recommend that you re-treat your house at least once a year to maintain the applied preservative and water repellant properties.

Our houses are made using:
Redwood shiplap timber, for the exterior, we only use top grades, which are planed all round – so there are no rough edges.
- All fixings are either galvanized or zinc plated
- Wire used is ½” x 1” 19 gauge weld mesh
- Any plywood used is of top grade exterior quality
-- We supply houses for up to 60 hens, duck housing for up to 15 ducks and goose housing for 1 to 12 birds.
